Supplementary argument: The guy has done nothing that particularly catches my eye aside from townreading me. He appears occassionally but doesn’t contribute much to any discussions (that I remember) and then suddenly tries to save the consensus scumread.
I would understand it if it was someone who never played on this site before like Camille, or someone who’s struggling with catching up like childe (if he it ever comes back), but jail has just been lurking since the very beginning of the game.

Jail, Hippo isn’t like this as a villager. Trust me on this. You won’t be disappointed. I’m 100% certain that Hippo is a wolf here. No villager plays like the way he has been playing. Someone voting Chomps switch to Hippo. Please. I don’t want his wolfmates to be able to save him here.
