I almost think the protection votes only hurt discussion. If we woke up with no kills, it’s true that the most voted player would be confirmed town; but not knowing who that is, we’d need to account for multiple different players sending votes in different directions, Mafia could be lying to skew the results elsewhere, a successful vote par one scratches every single voter there as not the Neapolitan… this is why sending one or two at most is better than, like, five I think.

Well the wolves presumably had 24 hours to stay in their discord chat before the game started. That’s the usual procedure ime. The game starts earlier for them than for us. And this 24 hour requirement is a relatively new addition. Before games could start instantly. I do think that a wolf genuinely misreading a part of the wolf kit after discussing pre-game strategy with fellow wolves for 24 hours would be highly amusing to see. Or impressive if they made a believable lie about it, a bit bold

Again, as host: I feel like I haven’t seen enough Mafia-aligned players utilize the full extent of those 24 hours. It really depends on the scumteam, but I wouldn’t say for certain Luna townslipped.

Nah. 24 hours of Night 0 gives hosts a check on how many people are actually paying attention to the game. (It’s essentially a free activity-check.) ((It’s rather unfortunate what happened to Anonygoose / Hippo though.))

Thought after actually processing the sentence: That’s nonsense. We don’t know who voted whom at night, and there will be no indicator of who was was protected at night unless there is no kill.
So: In what way is this a pseudo green check?

Oh. Yeah, sure. I wouldn’t say this is a means to pseudo-greencheck anyone though. Because the Mafia could just lie about it. (Still, getting Mafia to think about their lies would be a better option than idling. Good call.)
