apparently mackerel is really unpopular in the US and some people consider it a trash fish mostly used for bait? is that true? sounds crazy?
Don’t think I’ve ever eaten mackerel and I don’t see it on menus often

Salmon, cod, tilapia, haddock. Tuna of course. Lots of shellfish. If you’re by the ocean you get more interesting fish. And this is gonna be northeastern US specific

its 21.5 euro per kg of fillet which is many times more expensive than others. its imported from norway
this is where salmon lives (i dont know if theres other types) so it makes sense why its cheaper for you

if i remember (and am converting) right each kg is only like 9 euros
which obviously compartively is also a lot cheaper
