S2 is the final season.
Definitely the right call - I donāt think they had enough content for an entire other season - but it does leave the season feeling quite rushed.

Like, every article Iāve read on the matter says that this was unlikely, and even just considering the first season, Arcane did not have enough to be five seasons long without literally becoming multi-continental.

From what I understand, that five-season figure came from Riot hoping to expand into more shows, using Arcane as a jumping off point into a wider entertainment branch within Riot.
Nine years later, and those plans have kinda fallen apart due to the cost, scope, time, and messy development that this show has gone through.

i heard they had 10 seasons and a movie trilogy fully animated, edited, and completed. but just now, at this moment, they all realized of legends was super gay and dumb, and decided to just go home

someone i know was like āomg they didnt even make warwick hotā. which is all i know about arcane. well also mentioned that it was some other character who ended up being warwick.
but yeah not a glowing review for the only reason id watch it unfortunately
