Theyâre invaluable to college living tbh, especially with a roommate or in a dorm
you could also sleep with noise cancelling earbuds instead if youâd prefer

its been building like this for a while
likely the thing thats actually getting democrats to switch is that, out of all of his policies, the only one trump gets a majority of americans to agree on is his policies around LGBT people (mainly trans related)
democrats likely see that âswitchingâ sides will gain them more votes, and thats all that really matters
theres a few who are staying strong, like i mentioned jb pritzker (illinois governor) is kinda the goat with that stuff
but it seems that the party as a whole is shifting over to anti-trans sentiments

Completely dodges any conflict w/ roommate and allows you to sleep more easily in other noisy environments if youâre already fully used to wearing the earplugs

if the alarm proves to be an issue (it prolly shouldnât, earplugs should quiet out white noise but wonât drown out an alarm) you can put ur phone under ur pillow or buy one of those alarm clocks that shakes ur bed
or get a watch with an alarm feature but thatâs prolly overkill

There are good pretty cheap smartwatches (youu just need one compactible with your phone). Iâm using mine since years ago, so itâs not really a bad investment.

imo largely the backlash is spurred by anti-trans propaganda by the republicans, particularly around womenâs sports and and removing trans athletes from them. this is a wedge issue they use to gather support, very similar to how anti gay marriage sentiment was an important factor in the 2004 election.
It doesnât really matter that there are extremely few transfem athletes at any level and it is truly an unimportant thing, stoking the moral outrage against that is enough to gain support

Ive been sleeping with ear plugs for years because im also a light sleeper and stuff around me has always been loud, stray dogs barking, cars moving at 6 am and im on the first floor etc. they helped me a lot and i havent had issue not hearing my alarm. They dont make you like completely deaf. You could try it out on a weekend when its ok to miss your alarm to test if you can still hear it
As for your roommate, uhhh ⌠White noise machine. âI cant sleep without my white noise machineâ. This is something only a westerner would say 
She should be listening to whatever that is with ear phones instead of bothering people, its not her own place to play music / sounds loudly like she owns the place

oh also they they killed kamala harris running ads portraying her as a loony who was going to use taxpayer funds to give surgeries to transgender prisoners, basically the stupidest outrage bait imaginable
but that stuff gets purchase in peopleâs minds and they get afraid of trans people because eww weird and different, very easy to appeal to that sort of bigotry
