Part of me thinks that they should’ve kept Paul Dano’s casting a secret, but that’s probably the studio’s decision.
Movies and shows are consistently better the less you know about them going in.

I get that, but I remember that “Paul Dano cast as Riddler” was everywhere back when this film was being marketed.

somebody on reddi tthen went like “hey, you might not have known this but the guy you’re supporting here is actually pretty misogynistic! might wanna stop supporting him” and one of the devs went on a pretty long tirade responding to that persons comment (and then going on the official factorio twitter account to continue instead of their own account) about how cancel culture is destroying america and also never really said that the guy who was being misogynstic did anything wrong, which was like the main thing. i might be misremembering a few details tbf its been a few years.
