and that the FM game will continue normally,

If Demon dies, then FM players who had Townsfolk & Outsiders get to keep whatever their abilities (FWIW).

If two players remain, then FM game is already over.

FM takes priority over BotF.

do quantum computers have practical applications beyond stuff like cryptography? that’s the only use-case I’m aware of, and they’re so weird it’s hard to imagine use-cases that aren’t fairly niche.

No. Demon doesn’t have to be Player X.
Player X is simply the anchor that enables the BotF to continue.

Is it a shitty system? Yes.
That doesn’t change my scenario though.

They analyze mathematical patterns across the board much faster than our current capabilities, which means enormous efficiency increases for stuff like optimizations and simulations.
