Losing your head is surprisingly not the most pleasant experience regardless of my constant lack of anything of the sort
Nothing much but a reservation at a lavish hotel and the lizards I don’t understand why the manager allows them in!

i always wanted lessons for clarinet but my parents never wanted to pay for them

Strong, strong mood.
I am good enough at the piano to do basic things, but I haven’t really put in the effort to get much better.

piano always seemed near impossible for me to learn

i can do two things at once, but hitting keys with BOTH hands at different rhythms? impossible. i can onl;y do it in rhythm games.

i used to play piano, trumpet, violin, this shitty wind instrument called a recorder (we were forced to) and i was in the school choir

i fell off

i do know that if you try to learn both at once you Will fail for the rest of eternity

but like. even with just practicing them separately you have to be in the zone to get it to work at the same time
which is the point of practicing them seperately

i remember taking lessons as a kid and it was just hard for me to play songs i didn’t like i think b/c of this (and the other things ive mentioned too)

yea but I could just learn another instrument and prob have more fun

pianos are big and expensive and things like a clarinet, guitar, trumpet, bass, etc arent

if i have enough money when im older im gonna be so instrument pilled

ye ok fair
im only getting back into it b/c we randomly have my grandmas piano now, and i discovered how to record things using the one we have downstairs

i also struggled with the “if you stop just keep going as if nothing happened” thing because i failed to understand the spirit of it for whatever reason
but now that i’m back into playing i think i get it now. i focused too much on the “as if nothing happened” bit and combined with the normal “keep going” (which is hard when you’re not in the zone) it just rendered me a little bit too unable

Same.
Piano, guitar, percussion, recorder, chorus, and carnatic music.
The fall-off is real.
