Girl he was racist to IRL (this actually happened) ended up leaving the school system and going elsewhere.

Small towns up here end up not being so much less racist so much as having fewer non-white people to be racist toward. And the reason for that is because people are racist. If your kids are going to be harassed why send them to that school system

My friend’s mom said her kids felt unwelcome because their family had moved there so recently (…and by that, they mean the kids’ mother was born there, and their grandmother was the one who’d moved there). As you can imagine this kind of environment in a former sundown town is not conducive to racial equality

Just cause half the town votes Democrat (and it is only half!) doesn’t make the experience of living there any less bad for those kids (and their parents)
