i was really interesting in music making for a while and ive developed good ear for chord progressions

this chord progression is the most overwhelmingly common one in japanese music - in games, anime openings, pop music, etc
this famous OP has it and you can hear it very well
and i just realized chainsaw man’s opening also has it without looking it up, just from the ear
its extremely popular in anime openings because it gives it this melancholic feeling of an adventure that doesn’t have a definite ending. it has up and downs and it just keeps going, there is no end. very good for episodic media
