Its wild how much being internet online changed my like perception of myself and ambition. People talk about ohhhh i couldve been great if not for the online. Online was the thing that allowed me to like, interact with adults as an equal, and talk to people who were doing impressive things and working hard and feel I could achieve that too

Like I felt confortablr and wanted to take college courses early cause I knew domebody pnline who was like “yeah i pretty much got to graduate super fast cause I did half my degree in higwchool” nobody was yelling me that was an option in real life they didnt know about it. And I can see it with like, my siblings never went online and they are so so different in. What they feel they are capable of. Not what they actually are. But their conception of it. Despite the fact that my parents are like top 5% top 1% in successfully encouraging children to pursue excellence without pressuring them and making them resent it. And DESPITE the fact that I literally am their older sibling and not only already set expectations but am constantly trying to convince them they dont have to only do things which are Of Their Age

Its probably doemewhat detrimental to me now that I spend so much of time in the computer but its also protrimental that if I have gradschool yqestions Ican like easily just go talk t a friend whos done a phd like I just wouldnt have that option. Not in the same wau
