I remember someone in my Financial Statements Analysis class asked me for my notes because they missed a day, and I realized as I was showing them to her how absolutely useless those notes were.

i remember them way better if i handwrite them + i can organize them in a way that works better for me (drawing arrows n stuff) in a far more convient manner. also forces me to summarize and put in my own words rather than typing down word for word what the instructor says

the first class I actually actively made notes on in uni was scots property law
this possibly cultivated my idea to make the Mizora role
also conveniently I got an A2 in that exam which probably suggests I should do my rewrite of lecture notes strategy on for every class
but to do that I’d need to get put on major amphetamines

no everyone uses a laptop and it’s actually pretty much required for seminars
my english property law lecturer references slides for us to move to on our laptops rather than use a digital whiteboard

Literally all my teachers ban laptops during class because no one actually pays attention otherwise, so I handwrite all of my notes.

you can ask your teacher for permission to use a laptop, and imo they’re likely to grant it, but if you’re caught being distracted you can expect to get that revoked
