i think they want to but they like. thought they werent going to for a long time so they put it into every single commander precon, and now that they’re reviewing how they want the game to be played and realizing sol ring sucks for that they can’t just ban it bc it would make literally every commander precon they released unplayable and make it hard for people who rely on those precons to play the game

my issue with commander is i’m a dirty spike at heart but don’t wanna play cedh so i’m constantly on the wrong side of optimized relative to the table even when i intentionally reduce the power level of my decks considerably. like my muldrotha deck has been downgraded a bunch of times, but it’s still hard to play because it’s highly interactive in a way that other decks have trouble fighting through.
