I’ve heard that the perk of working in hell is that you can kill any annoying customers. Is that true?
i mean yeah the whole everlasting doom thing kind of comes with the territory. not as interesting as it is upstairs though

A story usually only has one protagonist. Occasionally, there may be a second -or perhaps even a third- main character.
However, in reality, everyone is their own main character in their own story. Even if you were to isolate a small group of people to increase the importance of their actions, as long as they are attached to the real world -in particular, if they are a citizen of the internet-, then there is no doubt that their ingenuity will spark actions in proportion to the degree of freedom that they have been bestowed with.
What is the base setting of Mafia (the game)? A group of people belong to the uninformed majority, while the other belong to the informed minority.
At its core, what are the basic needs of players in Mafia (the game)? They have to be able to speak, and they have to be able to choose players to be removed from the game.
What degree of freedom can be given or removed? The powers themselves can already be considered as “extended freedom”; you can only remove what you plan to give. Any more than that… “is possible, but ill-advised”.

Yeah this isn’t “the host suddenly intervenes in a game without precedent”, this is, like, having somewhat subjective roles. Like a BotC General which learns the currently-winning team falls under this definition.
I think calling this “Live Balance” is incorrect. It’s more like “Subjective Decisions”.
