I like novel things I love novelty. I am naturally excited about a novel way for people to make art and express skill. And there is skill involved! I am very bad at creating AI art which is why I do not do it. I hate building skills

And the environmental concerns are wildly overexaggerated, running Stable Diffusion locally on your own machine literally cannot be any worse than, like, intense gaming or what have you. And the “copyright infringement” is like, 1. genuinely negligible on a per-image basis and not something I ideologically believe to be stealing in any meaningful way and 2. not really a concern here given this particular artist uses a model trained off of public domain images IIRC
