After looking at each image for about three minutes, the test subjects then stared at black and white striped grids. The eclipse didnā€™t reach Oceania, but I know how it looks. I saw this really cool effect with fractured sunlight casting these recurring patterns on stone in a video; like a glow-in-the-dark astronomy lamp but real.

i kid. honestly, i was just underwhelmed with how it looked through the glasses. it felt like i was looking at a picture and not the real thing, so I just looked at it myself
