Yeah, I ate potato cooked in real fire. (But that was a campfire or under a cauldron, but both of those was built for cooking purpose in the first place.)

what we used to do is in autumn when we gather all the leaves and branches from cleaning up the gardens we make a fire and when it’s been going for a while we put potatoes under the ashes so they cook
