To be precise, May just posted in an unlisted thread at the time (hence why you noticed the lack of a message history, yet the “last message” tick was still updated; that won’t happen if you send a DM); if anyone was getting promoted we’d have opened applications again you’re all good.

To be earnest, I don’t know the reason as well as I should. Discourse messages aren’t as secure as hosting a separate chat on a different platform, it’s harder to confuse the two and mistakenly post in the wrong chat, at least; but the “last message sent” isn’t the predominant reason why because unlisted chats are still theoretically publicly accessible by anyone, and DMs don’t have that issue, no.
Although on the old FoL site DMs did update that tag so it would’ve been an issue there, but Discord was still the typical platform for groupscum chats then anyhow — it might just be tradition.

…i also had a dream about May last night but i can’t really remember specifics other than he made some kind omori-adjacent animation and i was just watching that. well it was more like he made art in the style of omori and then it became animated. i can’t remember what the story was but i remember feeling encapsulated by the end, probably because it was deep and relatable and… well probably also touching on similar themes to omori
when i woke up i was still like processing it was a dream and thought of commending May before i realized that didn’t actually make sense
it feels weird to admit this because i’m not super active here rn and while i am like, conscious i am approximately never thinking about May at least recently but apparently my subconscious has other ideas

Tigers are big and strong and heavy. They are the apex big cat. 1v1 they always win vs lions in the roman colloseum. Theyre a solitary predator, they hunt and fight alone. Lions are smaller and social animals. They rely on their pride. They can still hunt alone but theyre just way smaller than tigers
And lions are a king of the jungle when they dont even live in the jungle. The tiger does
