two things

one, I mean I can still get cheap af food it’s just that the convenience (and arguably quality? not quite the right word but the meals you get for cheap are more basic) has gone way down in order to do so

two, how is that supposed to sway anybody who has lived for years in a world where they could take advantage of that system and then through no real visible change suddenly they can’t do so nearly as effectively

I mean a lot of this is just flat out corporate greed. Fast food price increases have outstripped inflation because these companies realized they could raise prices, and still make a profit

i do agree that fast food shouldnt be as cheap as it is (the dollar mcchicken is built off of comically evil farming and labor practices) but its not even expensive for the reasons that it should be
