i dont know what this is but its a reference to riven’s broken blade. she’s from noxus. im fangirling over all the references to the video game

i didnt have much to comment on the other stuff in the early and mid part. a lot of plot got moved forward which was great

the ending made me tear up. really great scene with the kid sacrificing herself. (and i hope they let her give her the moment of salf-sacrifice and not cop out and just make it out that she survived. i love these moments when a weak character that you genuinely don’t expect to do anything goes against a strong one

i dont know why jayce shot viktor. i hope they show what they saw that made them so scared of hex tech

i loved the chinese song playing during the kid hero sequence. how rare it is to play a chinese song in a western media just for the sake of playing a nice sounding chinese song, and not because of chinese characters or settings?

i loved viktor analyzing and making sense as he’s dying. its so well set up about how he wants to get rid of his humanity

im sad that the next 3 episodes will be the ending of arcane. i read they dont plan on making any new seasons. they’re great at this

cait was portrayed as the wrong one in the second arc and jinx as the good one. in the first arc they were both portrayed as gray

Summary

the emotions didnt catch me. i understood what the authors wanted me to feel but what i was being shown didnt get me there

im not on jayce’s side or viktor’s side because we aren’t being told why jayce did that. i just liked the scenes, they were unexpected and gritty. i didnt expect jayce to smash the guy. i enjoyed the scenes because they made me feel surprised and i appreciate being made to feel that way

yeah, it just wasnt that epic for me. maybe if it was the first episode id like it, but i just had a fresh comparison - episode 4 was done wonderfully for me. so in comparison episode 5 (that scene specifically) just paled. it felt like different directors directed them, to me

i like show dont tell. the minimal amount of interactions in ep 4 were wonderful for me. i made up all these thoughts about jinx and warwick in my head. just from him saying powder at the end. that made me feel more emotional than their whole reunion in episode 5

nice one cupcake :cupcake:

i’ve played league since season 1 in 2009. 20 weeks after its release from beta

how many fucking years is that. 15 years?

Summary

Cait was willing to risk an innocent child’s life to kill Jinx. It was not morally gray, it was tragic. It’s a cycle of violence story.

you’re saying different stuff now. i didnt say morally gray about cait. i said “completely on cait’s side” (in her conflict vs jinx). jinx did more evil stuff so i was on cait’s side up until that point

Summary

Cait was not righteous in what she was doing. She was angry and wanted revenge. It’s correctly identified that they don’t need to invade Zaun in the first episode because Jinx acted alone. The subsequent attack on the memorial service was Ambessa’s plan to provoke an invasion she wants as a part of her political ambitions, reemphasized by her stoking a literal fire in act 2. The only way to end a cycle of violence is for someone to take it on the chin, and stop. Unleashing the Gray and going in with a strike force was less bad but still bad and heavy-handed violence.

yes, i never claimed that i think cait’s actions were the correct ones. for instance king kong can fight vs godzilla and i can pick a side that im rooting for and that doesnt mean i condone that monster trampling over people

Summary

I interpreted “completely on Cait’s side” as an endorsement.
