I watched it when I was quite young. I liked it. I don’t think people critical of anime or really dumb shit will like it. It’s sort of like Sword Art Online levels of dumb.

I’ve just watched the first ever episode of pokemon (again) and am rewatching the 2nd. And it just occured to me - why have I never questioned any of the shit that goes on

Like how is Team Rocket never caught in a comically large hot air balloon. Why even is their mode of travel a fucking hot air balloon? Why is their mode of defeat being blasted off (I suppose like a rocket, but still)? Why are they able to continuously survive being catapulted into the air hundreds of times?

I also just realised that Ash’s mum has literally sent a ten year old child out with nothing but his disobedient pikachu to go to an entirely different city - this has to be neglect
