I thought Jake was wolfy right off the bat on D1 for pretty actively avoiding making waves in the thread and focusing on things that weren’t actually important to the game state. I took back the scumread when Gorta gave me a reasonable explanation for why he thought Jake could be town.

So I had Jake above the null line for at least half of yesterday and pushed on the people pushing Jake/eevee for the hood supposedly containing a wolf, since I thought it sounded like very convenient agenda. I changed my mind again later in the day because the Hippo wagon that Night and I were on never gained traction as everyone else wanted to dome Jake/eevee, and I chose to vote Jake over eevee because I thought eevee posted something towny. Eevee didn’t seem to have a strong read on Jake but did say he thought Jake’s claim was weird and also voted him.

I said I’d tunnel Hippo if eevee or Jake flipped and were town, and that happened, so I came into today hard pushing Hippo and voting him. He came in with a role claim (the Arctic thing) and continued to push Jake. Night continued to push Hippo and defend Jake. I dropped the push on Hippo in favor of pressuring Brad, then moved onto Jake again and justified it by saying that I didn’t have any better ideas on whom to vote because jake was just at the bottom of my readlist for whatever reason (and I didn’t want to resolve within Seth and Zone). So I spent hours talking to Jake and asking him questions to try to understand his pov but I got tired and gave up eventually because it was 3 am and I still didn’t really understand everything from his pov. I don’t think all of his explanations lined up perfectly but I think you cleared up the one about his claim, at least.

So anyway that’s where I’m at, your slot is in my hard PoE but im willing to try again to reevaluate if I see a good reason to.

Jake claimed it publicly, though, and when I asked him why he didn’t just want to take the bribe, he said he didn’t reasonably know if the bribe existed or if it was fake, and also that he townread me.

Because it probably makes more sense for w!Jake to just go for the bribe either way as it’s a free town execution if he succeeds

The only way he does that gambit as a wolf and outs the message and also doesn’t push me is if he’s the messenger, but I really don’t believe that
