And aside from pure lightness/darkness, certain colours go better together than others, and if your hair or skin has specific colour “undertones” (like you can have a warm orangeish brown hair vs a cool greyer brown hair) then people usually will want to wear stuff that goes well

I spent a while trying to look at other people’s outfits and seeing what I liked and disliked. You just have to look at a lot of outfits and eventually you’ll develop discernment. This is obviously work and you should only do it if you want to. I also would go on like Pinterest to look at stuff

And when I was wearing outfits I’d look in the mirror a lot and take note of when I thought I looked good vs bad. And eventually I started noticing which colours consistently made me think I looked good vs dead

I get comments on being welldressed and it’s cause like once every few months I go to a tjmaxx and spend like 3 hours sorting through clothes until I find stuff I like and then spend like ten to twenty dollars each on stuff
