April Showers The Third - DAY 3 (13/16)

I think i’m fine

Well, if you all are not going to do anything in particular on your own, I suppose I must lead.

VOTE: Heiter.

I believe this is the clear correct vote for the time being. Fundamentally, these two feel uncomfortable in the thread in a way that shows a clear sense of wolfy performance, and their lack of a vote even into the end of the day comes across as a set of players who did not particularly care about the day’s outcome. Unless anything substantially changes with this slot, I cannot see them as town.

I’m going to make one statement.
Unlike how most players might think, I am genuinely so sad that nobody died in the night.
Why couldn’t one of you had been killed?

And wtf is this whole weird grey character situation.

Specifically, taking a look at their posts so far, the two of them both have a strong sense of awkwardness and announcement in their comings-and-goings. They spend much more time introducing themselves and explaining arrivals and departure than they do providing any thoughts, any content at all, and the content that they do provide is not in the form of naturally-flowing thoughts on players’ alignments, only speaking anything substantial in one clearly pre-meditated wall-post.

In that post, they give this townread on me:

I skimmed over it when it was first posted, but on a re-read, this paragraph pings me strongly. There is no sense of nervousness around a strong player and there is no sense of genuine feeling to it. It is intellectualized, it is explained. It is appeasement of a type.

The only other game-related posts in Heiter’s history are provided by Ishmael, and they are not alignment-related. They speak about Leafia’s habits or the state of the wagons, thoughts that one does not need to be a villager to provide. This pattern of engagement (natural thoughts about non-alignment-related matters which a wolf could have and formalized, unnatural thoughts about alignments) is something I find to be heavily indicative of a wolf.

I shall also disclose what provoked me to have this read so suddenly and strongly: at the end of the night, I was added to a neighborhood including Heiter. I joined the Discord server about forty minutes after the hour and Story (if I am not mistaken regarding identities) responded within three minutes with a casual tone that felt completely absent in the thread. The difference in comfort was striking and caused me to give a re-read of Heiter’s posts, which upon close reading felt extremely wolfy.

this is so sad can we kill kiiruna n2?

Would you like to discuss? I understand you are a replacement and have not had much time to keep up, but I would appreciate it if you could provide one top town and one top wolf, just off the top of your head.

hello Rhea

i will say kindly that i have not backread anything yet

i am typing up an application to a program whilst i message here since the portal decided to delete all my progress of 1500 words that i’m retyping rn

once i am not stressing out i will gladly do so

i do not like to make opinions based on three sentences i see without any prior context

I concur that I think that EOD was actually quite a dangerous one for wolves, I find it hard to believe we had that many votes all decently good candidates to a fair few people without any of them being wolves under some amount of pressure. If one were to not care about the outcome of that EOD I would pin them squarely as a neutral more than anything else - A townie caring is self explanitory and I’m fairly certain a wolf was under fire, so the only role that wouldn’t care is a neutral.

A neutral still isn’t town though so…
