Assassination Classroom’s BOTF XXIII - Evil Wins

I wonder if a reverse cawth demon would be more fun

minions choose a player: everyone but them becomes cawthane

I think the only problem with this demon was the fact that it was hosted in trouble brewing
a lot of trouble brewing is balanced by the fact that Imp can star pass, which means you can’t just ignore the spy pinging as the recluse as they may be the demon, in a cawth game, the demon might have to kill their own minon

yeah for a while i was thinking ybw might hafta budget starpass to amelia

which, wasn’t an issue here, but with a different set of roles, let’s say we didn’t get the fortune teller, we got the butter, evils would be in a much worse spot I think with the spy constrained by recluse and the poisoner probably going down

part of the spy showing as a townsfolk actually harms it instead of benefiting the evil team

oh yeah
and since it pinged by recluse…it can’t do any undertaker shen either
which means it just saw the grim and that’s it

icet spy / me demon was still a possible world that nobody built
its why i tried to frame icet as evil with me so you couldnt say for sure that i was expendable for evil

if ybw was the butler and not the ft i still wouldve coronated her fwiw. magnus just gave me like 5 different reasons to pick ybw

yeah, I’m just saying, if ybw wasn’t fT we would be in a much worse spot because of the demon type and the roles in the game and how magnus and jarek set up the grim

yeah i did warn them that that’s not how it works

I’m not sure how story tellers decide tokens
If they wait to see what happens
From my perspective I think we would be very much lost it YBW wasn’t situated perfectly and was a fortune teller if all other token stuff remained the same
I think if spy didn’t see the grim before they were basically an outsider but playing for evil because their role wasn’t really useful in a cawth game since…spy being confirmed not the demon is probably bad in a cawth game
of course town wouldn’t know if it’s a cawth game guarateed but if they figured it out, I could see why snow wanted me to bus them early

basically, tldr of my thoughts, maybe I’m wrong in thinking this but

The game was meant to have me and ash executed; maybe the investigator thrown in there if they were suspicious, the undertaker would eventually learn true information; the monk would challenge the demon saying “are you going to kill me or risk hitting into my heals with the benefit of maybe pushing me later if you are lucky”, the ravenkeeper would laugh as they are washerwoman confirmed and would need to be taken out at some point (and if you went after the poisoner pings, that’s some good information), the spy would be forced into a situation where they are never a demon candidate but maybe an imp starpass candidate and they would confirm the libarian, the slayer would go for a cawth d1 check, the mayor would probably be executed at some point for the crime of being in a poisoner ping (not to mention it would have been optimal), and the fortune teller would have gotten some juicy information each night

the cawth demon with our spy had the power to remove one of these powerful things, but it would still be a very scary match and I think we would probably be in f3 right about now if I was executed along with ash

I guess, if I was fated to die, the Imp benefit would be to starpass to night, so I guess in this instance, the imp feels like it would be stronger, but that’s under the assumption that a starpass happens to night at some point giving the demon three chances to hide, instead of two, but

a lot of my thinking this game was
“I need to survive one more day to ensure that ravenkeeper, mayor, UT, ect would be taken care of”

the benefit of the imp when I lay eveyrhing out I think is weaker for this game instance despite sounding stronger, because we didn’t have a Baron we had a sw and I sure as hell shouldn’t ever be starpassed too, night would be the only extra candidate
which is probably worse than maybe -1 powerful townsfolk

clearly the answer here is that since there were more good than evil players, the good player happiness gain from the Ferryman outweighed the evil salt, and therefore the Ferrryman Maximized Player Enjoyment

we solved forum mafia
make every game mechlock for good to maximise all players’ win percentages

Cawth - every player in the game votes on who the demon is night one.

you have to make it hard enough that good players still Feel Like they had to do something to win (if it’s too easy then it’s still not fun for them) as long as good comes out on top in the end

see, the key to interpreting that situation is that they said it was a riotously enjoyable final day. which is code for the storyteller surreptitiously changed the demon to riot

We need to balance win rates to make it seem fair and balanced too, so I think half the games should be legion and the game is mech lock for them to win since the story tellers should kill all of the good players

yes thats the idea they cheat behind the scenes to make sure town wins without any of the players knowing about it
