ET stops the good team from winning before that point.

No. The ET doesn’t stop good from winning via Heretic. The ET stops good from completing their wincon via normal means, but Heretic doesn’t care about that.

Example:

The Demon is executed with both twins alive. Good would normally win without the Heretic, so the game continues. The Evil Twin is executed, and Evil wins.
