I don’t usually play these types of games so idrk the meta or stuff but I assume having a warm body is something to offer? Like, even if no one really knows people’s roles yet, establishing connections with people by promising that you won’t hurt them seems like something that can be offered
esp since you said you can’t really control not dying which is not true to an extend if you happen to find a killer early on even if you don’t know their role

plus ime there tends to be a correlation between wanting to ally with everyone and murderhoboing
this playerlist isn’t a great example, but most of the murderhobos are on the left of the grid, which are the same people who always want to ally for no reason
