I mean if people want to be allies AND challenge me then it’s usually a deal with the devil where we can just challenge each other in the future for bonus gifts since we already at least partially know the results.
Another deal is just an outright claim for claim. Any info is super useful and knowing a couple roles helps to slot others into position.

In all honesty though when I started the game I wasn’t unsure what kind of player I’d be.
I then went through a part of trusting nobody but allying with a lot of people and kinda backstabbing each other willy nilly.
Now I kinda just trust people and we solve together as allies. It’s great.
At the end of the day, sure, there can only be one winner.
But if you have a small group of allies or even just 1 ally then yall can survive a long-ass time and help each other out to succeed. It’s what I like about this game.
Even if you don’t win, sometimes an ally does and that can feel satisfying knowing yall helped each other get where you did
