Best thing I can think a demon could get is atheist and then you break the rules and keep the game going so long as the boffin lives or bounty hunter for a guaranteed +1 teammate

I am going to disagree but I also think learning out of play good characters as townsfolk in general is just really lame because the value of the information is “I can spot a liar as soon as they claim it!”

and thats just. Not fun to be on the receiving end.

I don’t think Alchemist Boffin is much fun for the Alchemist in general, jinx or not but yes

its a common trend for the Boffin in general because the Boffin doesn’t get to play with their cool tool

Considering that the Demon learns independent bluffs and so knowing one out-of-play role shouldn’t really conflict with any potential evils except for a blind guess (1/14 unlikely go talk to the Demon) or maybe the Spy, I think it’s a necessary evil.

“The Demon has the Virgin ability, the Fisherman ability, the Farmer ability. By the very nature of me knowing this, those Townsfolk abilities hurt the Demon. If I did not know this, by definition all of these abilities are just helpful. Therefore, the Demon will more or less always have a low-impact Outsider ability every time if my role is to be a Townsfolk and that’s less interesting.”

The only useful scenario I could immediately envision arising from this would be the Vortox having the Nightwatchman ability and thinking it was the Dreamer or something, and so they immediately out it’s Vortox by mistake to somebody else.
