i might actually have a palatable way to run al-had on forums
there would just need to be more art

Al-had targets are supposed to be revealed and make their choices one at a time, right?

basically just
necessary evil but it makes it workable

al-had and the roles that act before al-had act during the day (monk and snake charmer are non-problematic)
players that get selected learn the players that selected before them when choosing life/death and make their choices that they would have to make later in the night at the same time

all picks get announced at dawn

there are no execution survivors on the script so we can use the day to prequeue the 2 necessary layers of actions without breaking the game too bad

idk about you all but when I host UFB on unofficial discord i’ll literally just run Al-Hadikha as they run it
their nights are not predetermined lengths so i can run it their way
(its basically the same as live game, but with some spacing to avoid angleshooting)

How do you handle Snake Charmer on FOL? Would they make their Demon picks as the SC? Would you swap them midway through the day? This is more of a general SC question.
Choosing during the day works fine.

This could be annoying for certain roles like the Pit Hag or Godfather with a kill, not knowing what’s going on in the night.

people can tell here if nights are longer than 24h
and neither 48h nights nor 12h submission times have gone over well

Would 24/24 phases with nighttalk but no whispers work?

imo full nighttalk substantially changes the dynamic of Clocktower

its just on unofficial they basically finish night once all actions have been submitted / processed (with delays to avoid angleshooting depending on the host)
this lends itself to angleshooting but their community is nice enough to have a honor system on that which i find to be really funny and unsustainable

also im pretty sure they have nightly check-ins that must be responded to before night can end? or at least acknowledged in some way

idk i only play the experimental games

Clocktower also by default has nighttalk


look at the number of GAMES they have btw
i think they’re JUST STARTING to run into the problem where games are not filling
this is because everyone there is a serial multitabler
