question with shape shifter. cant the demon go to the minions and say “i will kill **** tonight” do it and confirm themselves?

i am confused about the “Mad” mechanic and how it affects some roles like "The Prince and how does The Princess work in general?
Also, which Minion goes first in NK if it is a Prince game
i understand the idea could be the shapeshifter being a mix between a magician and a poppygrower. but i feel like as a demon i can easilly confirm myself unless i am the demon that cant choose my kills.

The Shapeshifter can whisper track D1, then.
but wouldnt people do that anyway without the shapshifter

yeah
but if its a lieutenant game then that’d be a pretty bad kill for good right
and march/marksman/conspirator also have a large amount of kill control
its not perfect. the problem you brought up is legit. but i do want to playtest it
and even if you dont directly get evils to out to you it still screws evil coordination for the first few days

maelstrom chooses to kill princess. princess doesnt die and immediately becomes the maelstrom. maelstrom becomes the princess
