Why would the good one care so much about which of them is viewed as being good so early in the game when it’ll likely be settled by other means?

The evil one would care and try to get viewed as the good twin because they’d want to get the good twin executed so that evils would win. Everyone knows one of us is evil and one of us is good. No reason for the good twin to constantly claim to be the good twin when we don’t have to solve for that until later on. We have more important things to do right now after all, like finding the demon and I was just about to nominate Kyo myself.
