BOTF XIII Main Thread Game is being Reracked

Well, I know that I’m good, and I also hate the lack of action on this.

I also quite enjoy the tomfoolery that has happened since then.

Yeah, definitely Night as one of the TRs. And yeah, before the Gunslinger thing, I was thinking you were most likely town. So assuming 2 TRs along with Jake is best, then this sounds like a good plan.

Even if a dead person visited, would they get info back?

@Host_Account_4 Can Travelers be the targets of abilities?

Yes.

Could the OP be updated to reflect this?

what would even be updated

The OP has been updated, but look through the edit history

If a traveler is exiled, is that (mechanically) identical to a resident being executed? If not, what are the differences?

Well yes, you have a point. It’s taking awhile to make the final decision. But I think we are close. I’m pretty sure we are going with Night and Intensify along with you.

If a traveler is exiled, the day won’t end as it isn’t an execution.
An execution automatically ends the day.

The demon damn well leave me the fuck alone tonight or I’ll be throwing hands

I’ll laugh my ass off if we execute the farmer and a traveler becomes a farmer. 100% comedy bronze

Well this is… certainly a post

I will note some things about this:

  • The logic that I am evil due to me wanting to exile all the Travellers is odd.

    • I have stated a couple of times that having 3 Travellers isn’t a great idea for balance in a 7 player game, especially in the signup thread if I recall. At max, 7 player games should only have 1 travellers. Any more than that is pushing it for me.
    • Additionally, I probably should’ve said this but, I am holding my expectations for Travellers somewhat higher. Deviant, being a character that offers no mechanical advantage to a team with the exception of staying alive to vote, is definitely a type of character that require themselves to contribute and participate to be socially read since they can not use any mechanical actions to prove themselves. Similarly, even Scapegoat, which does have a mechanical effect, still needs to be socially good since their ability when activates will tie themselves with a certain player and essentially cause a T/T or W/W pairing, so being socially good helps, and Whysper has helped. Plus, considering that Travellers do not need to stay alive to win, the pressure is on you to convince us you’re better alive than dead to us.
    • Also there has been enough time for you to prove yourselves. Me trying call for each traveller’s exile does not necessarily mean I am automatically tunnelling you and believe you are evil. You are still given time to change our minds by showing that you are helping town. With that said, even if you do die, you still can play the game socially, I am not preventing that in any way. But my other concerns took priority when I decided the decision for whether or not to have 3 travellers alive in a 7 player game.
  • I think you are greatly missing the point of Deviant. You, like the other 2 travellers, are here to play the game. I appreciate your attempts to lighten up the mood but Deviant isn’t a runaway “do nothing and crack jokes” all game character. You can both have good fun and still contribute to the game, but you seem to be in the mindset that this character is solely to be used as a cheerleader, which is heavily missing the point of it.

  • Awful vibes moment

Yes because Duchess doesn’t say anything about dead players.

Exile is basically execution for Travellers.

Except exiles don’t require vote tokens (so you don’t need to give up a vote token to exile someone) and multiple exiles can occur without messing with executions

Additionally, any execution-related abilities are not impacted as a result of exile
