A Mercenary gaining Hannibal’s ability would be told near the same thing as gaining a Bad Omen’s ability, right?
This will get mind boggling fast
I see no mention of group whispers. What’s the rule here if we have 3-4 people wanting a private chat session all together?

That’s allowed, same as in BoTC. The players would all have to announce their 3/4 way whisper in thread.

I would run a Mercenary gaining the Hannibal ability the same way as if they gained the Bad Omen ability. It’s the good character ability Hannibal thinks they are, that the Mercenary duplicates.
Oh nearly forgot, a Mercenary copying Hannibal might cause a death at night as per the Hannibal ability.
