Jake was actually the Lil’ Monsta.
I was actually drunk thinking I am traveller, my ability wouldn’t work anyways
By the way, 2 was supposed to be the evil number but I forceranded you good because I thought it would be better. Sorry.
For real?
I didn’t think an evil scapegoat would mechanically do anything without being outed, for one, and I didn’t want to take advantage of you joining by outing you immediately. Furthermore, giving evil a fifth vote didn’t feel great.
I would’ve advocated for executing you instead of Arctic.
Furthermore take that, May!
To be fair, in most cases you would expect evil to be losing hard after having three of their members outed.
And then here comes Kiiruma-Bella play
Even though it was pretty hard from town’s shoes, it was pretty fun how insane the plays were.
YOU HEEHOO’D AT ME WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO THINK
Can’t believe you would betray the sacred code. Unbelievable.
But didn’t I tell you there’s too many evils to have another?
I thought there was a risk of the Lil’ Monsta carrier being voted out the day you joined and that’s why you were added. Remember, the evil team had all but one of their members outed.
Our newcode is the reverse of that
Magnus is so going to catch us
Admittedly I never thought I would see the living daylight to ever ever have a situation like this, so I got opportunistic
Thanks to everyone for playing our game, and thanks to @Arctic for replacing in when needed.
Jarek and I started working on this game a month ago. You’d have to hear Jarek’s thoughts on the matter separately, but I think we made for a good team. I’m planning to justify some of our decisions throughout the game, but I’d like to remind everyone that we aren’t perfect and criticism is welcome. I’m also planning to share my thoughts on how I think the game panned out.
Our final rand consisted of Kiiruma as the Demon, with Zone and Nuto as Minions; Caspore and CRichard as Outsiders, and everyone else was a Townsfolk. In order to resolve the issue of having duplicate Alchemists or Pixie, we instead made Bellatrix and Amelia into Outsiders (with Zone as Baron), and CRichard into a Townsfolk, which we felt was more interesting.
We could have made Kiiruma into the Lleech, and Nuto into the Mezepheles if we felt evil was too weak, but as Nuto also picked Lil’ Monsta, we instead made Kiiruma into the Mezepheles and Nuto into the ET.
Having agreed on this being a Lil’ Monsta game, with none of the Minions waking past the third night, we had to make Atlas into the Cult Leader; this had the possible issue of there being a total of five Evils, sitting next to the Mezepheles, so we made them into the Drunk and Good Twin for a few reasons. We negated the risk of there being a fifth evil, we no longer needed a Spirit of Ivory, Evil had their safety net, Nuto had a reason not to out as a twin immediately, so did Atlas, everyone wins.
Jake being Puzzledrunk and receiving true information certainly was a decision, when there mechanically wasn’t much of a reason why Jake couldn’t have gained the Alch-Marionette ability. This being a plausible alternative was the reason why Amelia was showed as the Marionette, which not only lined up with CRichard’s false Savant information — “the Marionette believes they are an Outsider” —, but we figured this would make Bellatrix look better if Town realised this was false information.
Caspore would’ve been shown as the Marionette to Jake instead, but she was executed D1 so we didn’t.
The reason why Lil’ Monsta killed May was to place Atlas next to Zone, which served the dual purpose of signalling to Atlas that their ability might not be functioning, and to make Good hesitant to join their cult. In hindsight, we could’ve let May see CRichard as the Savant/Mezepheles, which could’ve confirmed his info as real (in conjunction with the Puzzlemaster seeing Atlas) and not being Drunk, but we thought May already had key info and the cult paranoia seemed more important.
Good MVP: I don’t think anyone can disagree that @Atlas deserves the crown. Despite not initially knowing which team they should be playing for, and not even having a functioning ability, Atlas far outstripped the runner up in postcount; I think if Atlas realised they were Drunk, and not Puzzledrunk, they could’ve figured the game out singlehandedly. Honourable mention goes to YoubutWorse for having most of the solve D1.
Evil MVP: In all honesty, although I’m giving the recognition to @Kiiruma for going as far undercover as they did, Kiiruma could not have won without the rest of the evil team, which I applaud them for. Bellatrix and Zone setting up the latter as a converted Townsfolk had the Good team looking at all the wrong whispers to find the Mezepheles, and Nuto managed to convince Atlas they weren’t the Drunk so thoroughly that nobody was looking in Kiiruma’s direction after the Drunk-related Savant information.
We’ll add a real Vortox next time.

The UPick format was entertaining but should certainly be a “once in a blue moon” event.
we’ve talked on and on about the setup in my rolecard, and my opinion is there, but
thanks for hosting the game, putting the work and effort into it throughout the game, which definitely was there, aswell as writing posts like these to help us understand what was going on in the st’s brains
i look forward to viewing the next one, had you all hosted another
even if i can’t play in things like these due to my overcommitment, i could travel if i really wanted to play
i appreciate the work put in, flavour written, and still talking to me after the game itself had ended
I don’t really like Lleech, honestly. I like Lleech host paranoia.
Lil’ Monsta is probably my favourite Demon to see in games, at least from a Storyteller perspective.
