Wait we can chose demons as townsfolk??
My face when not chamberbutler
yeah pick anything you want, its just an inspiration / direction for your final role, nothing more. you most likelly won’t actually get the role as written in the wiki
From what I’m reading they aren’t going to change anything unless neccesary
Now if you pick legion and role townsfolk there might be an issue with the “most roles aren’t mutated” but
that was my impression too but after speaking with hazard in pms he told me that they will balance everything out. i asked because i was worried if my picks were gamebreaking and he told me to not worry and to pick anything i want
If only good votes execution fails:
For a previous Lizards game, Hazard reworked the Demon Clockmaker’s ability entirely. The day’s length was proportional to how many players were alive in the game, pressuring the players to decide executions quicker and quicker as they messed up.
They will drastically rework roles within the themes, I think.
even if you pick a normal role for the slot it won’t be guaranteed it will do what you think or want it to do
Part of the fun is seeing how your ability gets twisted to fit a different character type
I mean yeah that’s necessary it’s a demon
If you pick fortune teller ima guess they give you it if you are a townsfolk
two of my initial picks were a strong townsfolk role for townsfolk and strong minion role for minion. hazard told me they won’t necessarily do what i think they might do. they will rework non-demon roles too if they deem fit
No actually
Your ability will be twisted. Whether or not the character you popped in is the same character type as normal
oh…
what if I just wanna be a fortune reller
yea so the idea is you just pick a gameplay loop that you will enjoy playing the most and thats that
A Good Legion was alone and had the ability to, once per game, cause an execution to fail if everyone who voted was good at a time of their choice, when it would actually help. (Getting a redcheck on evens or something, theoretically.) This is on the lower spectrum of modification you might expect.
Right time to put in Heretic for all my choices
