SCP Foundation: Internal Affairs
(Blood on the Forums XXXIII)
Depiction of SCP-ES-044 - Necrofauna Arthropoda, by Agente Shuffle.
Welcome to BotF’s Leave This World Alive.
This game is storytold by
@Jarek (Designated 05-██)
@Magnus (Ethics Committee)
Official characters are the property of The Pandemonium Institute.
Phase Lengths
“The site is experiencing multiple Keter and Euclid-level containment breaches. Full-site lockdown initiated.”
Game Night Start
Day Phase: 48 hours. (Option for 36hrs w/ 12+ Players)
Votes Lock: <30 minutes.
During these times, players may freely talk and whisper to each other. You may scheme, lie, share information, or stay quiet and try to puzzle out who is who. Then, you vote on who will be executed. This is the main part of the game, mostly handled by the players themselves.
Night Phase: 24 hours. (Option for 12 hrs w/ 12+ Players)
Actions Lock: Final hour.
During the night phase, players may not communicate with one another. Some players will wake to learn information or use powerful abilities. Typically the Demon attacks at night, killing one or more players or otherwise causing havoc.
Nominations & Voting
“Mobile Task Force unit Epsilon-11, designated Nine-Tailed Fox, has entered the facility. All remaining survivors are advised to stay in the evacuation shelter or any other safe area until the unit has secured the facility. They’ll start escorting personnel out when the escaped SCPs have been re-contained.”
Nomination — First living vote on a player
Voting — Multi-Voting (For living players only)
Execution — Plurality (Most votes at EOD)
Draws — Results in Random Execution
Sleep — Valid Vote
Dead Players: Can only vote on nominees once.
Players may cast votes or nominations using the vote tags described in the Voting Guide.
Players must be nominated before they may be voted on that day. Each player may only be nominated once per day, and each living player may only nominate once per day. If a player tries to cast an illegal nomination or vote, their input will be discounted.
Living players may vote freely on any nominated players. At the end of the day, the player with the highest counts of vote that day will be executed.
Whispers
“Maintain secrecy of the Foundation at all times. The masqeurade of normalcy must never be broken. Any member of the Foundation caught attempting to throw back the veil will be re-assigned as D-Class Personnel and administered Class-A Amnestics.”
Whisper Template — /whisper @Players
+ /accept [@Player]
- Whispers — Day-Exclusive, Publicly Announced, Mutual Consent
- Whisper Restriction — (# of Minions) + 2 per Day
- Whisper PMs — Player-Created (Include Hosts)
- Neighbour Whispers — Unannounced, 15 daily words per Neighbour
Once a whisper has been declared and accepted, the two players may whisper via private message until one of them speaks publicly in the game chat, at which point the whisper is considered broken and the players must declare whispers again if they wish to whisper.
Death
“Due to circumstances outside of our control, our directive has now changed. Our new mission will be the extermination of the human race. There will be no further communication.”
- Rolecard Reveals — Flipless, but flavour is shown upon death.
- Dead Interaction — Public communication + 1 vote (but no ability unless otherwise stated)
If a player is killed in the night before they would perform their ability, they will not do so (see “Night Action Resolution”). Any ability with a persistent effect will end upon that player’s death.
Dead players may vote freely until they end the day voting a player. Once this happens, their “vote token” is spent, and they may no longer vote.

Characters
“In order to prevent knowledge of SCP-001 from being leaked, several/no false SCP-001 files have been created alongside the true file/files.”
Every character ability is unique and can only be distributed once. The Storytellers may decide which characters are in play, or shuffle them at random.

(Note that Boffin has substituted Harpy.)
Night* (with an asterisk) in all contexts means “Night, except the first.”
Possible Scientist Personnel Washerwoman You start knowing that 1 of 2 players is a particular Scientist. Chef You start knowing how many pairs of evil players there are. Shugenja You start knowing if your closest evil player is clockwise or anti-clockwise. If equidistant, this info is arbitrary. General Each night, you learn which alignment the Storyteller believes is winning: good, evil, or neither. Chambermaid Each night, choose 2 alive players (not yourself): you learn how many woke tonight due to their ability. King Each night, if the dead equal or outnumber the living, you learn 1 alive character. The Anomaly knows who you are. Town Crier Each night*, you learn if an Insurgent nominated today. Innkeeper Each night*, choose 2 players: they can’t die tonight, but 1 is drunk until dusk. Exorcist Each night*, choose a player (different to last night): the Anomaly, if chosen, learns who you are then doesn’t wake tonight. Slayer Once per game, during the day, publicly choose a player: if they are the Anomaly, they die. Banshee If the Anomaly kills you, all players learn this. From now on, you may nominate twice per day and vote twice per nomination. Choirboy If the Anomaly kills the King, you learn which player is the Anomaly. [+the King] Cannibal You have the ability of the recently killed executee. If they are evil, you are poisoned until a good player dies by execution.
Possible D-Class Personnel Plague Doctor If you die, the Storyteller gains an Insurgent ability. Recluse You might register as evil & as an Insurgent or Anomaly, even if dead. Klutz When you learn that you died, publicly choose 1 alive player: if they are evil, your team loses. Drunk You do not know you are the Drunk. You think you are a Scientist, but you are not.
Possible Chaos Insurgents Poisoner Each night, choose a player: they are poisoned tonight and tomorrow day. Baron There are extra D-Class Personnel in play. [+2 D-Class] Mezepheles You start knowing a secret word. The 1st good player to say this word becomes evil that night. Scarlet Woman If there are 5 or more players alive & the Anomaly dies, you become the Anomaly. (Travellers don’t count) Boffin The Anomaly (even if drunk or poisoned) has a not-in-play good character’s ability. You both know which.
Possible SCP Anomalies No Dashii Each night*, choose a player: they die. Your 2 Scientist neighbours are poisoned. Imp Each night*, choose a player: they die. If you kill yourself this way, an Insurgent becomes the Imp. Po Each night*, you may choose a player: they die. If your last choice was no one, choose 3 players tonight.

Storyteller
“We are the ones who balance the moral costs of everything the Foundation does. And in order to balance those costs, we must know those costs. That means we know everything the Foundation does, has done, and will ever do. Everything that has ever been redacted or expunged, we know it. Every last detail.”
The Storyteller is a term used to refer to us, the hosts of this game. We are not players and can neither win nor lose the game. Our purpose is to fairly facilitate the game for both teams.
We will decide what happens with any open-ended ability behaviours, and will try to keep the game fun and balanced.
The extent of our ability to affect on the game is outlined above. We cannot break any existing rules, only decide what happens within the bounds of the characters’ abilities and base game rules.
Malfunction
“You’ve seen it. Now he can hear you. You’ve touched it. Now he can see you. Never ring it. If you hear it, he can touch you.”
Synonyms: Drunk / Poison
Antonyms: Sober / Healthy
A malfunctioning character cannot affect the gamestate in any way using their ability. If a malfunctioning character would receive feedback, the information they learn is arbitrary (Storytellers decide).
The malfunctioning status lasts indefinitely, unless stated otherwise.
Victory
“Secure, Contain, Protect”
The Good team wins when all Demons are dead.
The Evil team wins when only 2 players live.
In the event of a tie (both teams win at the same time), Good wins.
The Mastermind is the only alternate route to victory or defeat that may exist in this game.
Miscellaneous
Travellers
A Traveller is a player character that can enter or exit a game at any point. Their identity and ability are known to all players, but their alignment is decided by the Storyteller.
Traveller characters will be selected from this wiki page, in regards to factoring balance and entertainment for both the player in question, and everyone else in the game.
Travellers may be exiled by majority vote at any time, without requiring execution. Nor do they count as “players” for any rules or win conditions.
If a Traveller is evil-aligned, they learn who the Demon is.

REMOVING SAFETY INTERLOCKS
Welcome, authorized personnel. Please select your desired file.
D-Class Orientation Form
Orientation leaflet for D-Class personnel.
On behalf of the SCP Foundation and our staff, you are welcomed to participate in an exhilarating one-month experimental program, confined within one of our off-grid research facilities. The delicate nature of your work assignments might result in close encounters with occupational hazards if appropriate safety cautions are not followed; hence why your unbridled cooperation is required at all times to minimise risk towards personnel. Failure to abide simple instruction will result in the immediate termination of your excursion from death row; whereas upon the completion of your sentence, you shall be granted an absolute pardon from all your previous offences.
Each of the D-Class personnel has been assigned a numerical designation. Please memorise your designation, as the staff will exclusively refer to you as such from now on.
Scientist Enlistment Form
Foundation enlistment for Scientist personnel.
The Foundation employs numerous personnel, each contributing their own unique skills and expertise to the organisation. The Foundation also monitors thousands of Persons of Interest, either anomalous themselves, or living in and around anomalous communities. Anartists, magic users, cyborgs and extra-dimensional beings are only a few examples of what the Foundation has encountered. Scientists form the backbone of the Foundation, taking on a wide field of tasks from standard research to more specialised fields.
“While the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.”
Welcome to Leave This World Alive! This script is recommended for puzzle solvers with the eagerness to bluff.
