I didn’t think there was a king until Mist had said what she said and I’ve tried to make that clear several times. Geez.
Also, I’ve explained it about 10 times at this point. But sure.
If there’s no King in game then evils see King as a safe claim.
By me claiming King, it deters evils from claiming King since they’d think I’m the Drunk King and not counterclaim it, then building worlds off of that.
If evils are building worlds off of me being Drunk then they’ll give information which is inconsistent with the truth thus allowing us to then corner them when I reveal the truth.

I feel like it’s a big waste since my ability is useful.
However, I know I’m not going to be trusted due to what I did despite the fact it makes a lot more sense from a town perspective for me to do what I did instead of an evil perspective.
And Zone, who you’re trusting, is even pointing away from me.

If I’m Minion what benefit do I get from claiming publicly, especially claiming something which evils could categorically know is in play or not?
If I’m Demon I straight up know if King is in play or not. So this is irrelevant anyway.
It does on the other hand actually make sense if I’m town and doing a play.

Instead I could attain a demon bluff and use that to benefit my team while keeping my ability in play
because i was previously under the belief he was willing to die, and him being baron and trying to pull her royal highness with him seems reasonable
