I’m thinking this is a translation barrier on my part.

We call “exams” those that you give at the end of 8th grade (end of middle school) and the baccalaureate exam in 12th grade | end of high school)

We also had thesis which were semestrial exams, but as you know, we don’t have these anymore.

it’s not that hard to learn someone’s name i just listen to someone else calling then that name and go “o fthat’s name” and they look at me worried when i call them by name for the first time in 4 weeks
