oh I mean I definitely agree that it would be good if artists (and everyone else) had their basic survival needs met no matter what

i mean we have AI art for their dnd game and I thought it was fine
i am against AI art in most cases but in the scenario of just needing a quick drawing of something with specific details and not having the time/effort/skill to do it your self I think AI art is fine (esp when its not trying to replace actual artists or being used for any commercial purpose)

(didn’t this like actually happen for some of them back in the like 30s)
(that was when the farmer guys decided that maybe we shouldn’t let corporations have control over basic necessities and established government control over things like water)

(uh for the record the arguement I came up with is “people will get LAZY and spend it on BOOZE and OTHER POINTLESS THINGS”)
(which sounds plausible but the funny part is)
(when you interview people and ask them what they’d do with UBI they’re like “OH I’D DO ALL THESE THINGS LIKE PAYING FOR MY FOOD” and then when you ask them what they think other people would do with UBI they say the above)

idk if that’s actually true, idr where i got it but i think it was from a book that was about how the left is censoring the right, or something
(obviously i do not trust that book but i don’t actually remember if that’s where i got it from)
