idk if he remembers this, but when orange came down to Chicago in March 2020 just before everything shut down, we had a conversation along the lines of
me: being a judge is stressful and making me a worse person, but I don’t feel like I can quit because if I quit there’s one fewer person to stop Xblade from Xblading
orange: okay but. you can just quit. that’s something you can do. you know this is supposed to be fun, right?
then I spent like two years not doing that
