AI Art is fine, artists will still compete due to an AI not truly being able to copy an artist’s style and skill
if they dont have a style or skill, they probably aren’t making money anyway. so

I will steal your veins and replace them with twizzlers
I think that it’s a little underly cautious to assume that AI will never reach or surpass humans on any, or even just this task. Sure, it is possible that it will never be as good as a human is, but to say that is the most probable outcome feels iffy to me.
no, it’s just AI can’t be creative
it’s in their nature
What do you consider creativity to be?
on some tasks robots will obviously take over the positions and that’s okay
in creating art, though, it’s not going to be able to compete with actual talent
the ability to use your imagination
robots do not possess an imagination
And what do you consider imagination to be?
the ability to come up with original ideas

as an example
you could tell an ai to generate “a heavy edge anime style drawing of a man with black hair in a masquerade mask and a long coat”, but it would not produce Joker from Persona 5 before his conception

I’ve been sitting here trying to finish this. I almost called it a joke but that’s an offence to jokes. For ten minutes now and I got nothing
I disagree that an AI couldn’t come up with original ideas. In fact, it would probably be trivial for a Generel Artificial Int. to figure out how to simulate an imagination, by taking a few potentially unrelated ideas and combining them into one idea.
