Someone else who was alting. Later on. When I was a couple years older and had learned a few moral principles that people tend to like when you stick to. Made an alt account, right, they realised they and their alt had the same IP address, so they did a HUGE dramatic show of “oh my god we’re actually IRL friends who logged on to each other’s accounts at my house when they were visiting”. Heard about it in the vent thread repeatedly.

Then they took that alt, the IRL friend, made a HUGE dramatic show of “awww I have to leave the site forever my parents are taking away all my electronics :,((((”, went on a THIRD alt account, made a Discord server for TRIBUTE to the alt that had to leave, encouraged others to write SONGS and POETRY and make ART about how their alt was dying forever, participated in it on their main too

And I talked my mod friend into admitting that the 2nd and 3rd accounts were the same person, but she refused to go into more detail on it. And then stopped talking to me forever for unrelated reasons. I asked a different mod friend about it years later and she also refused to talk about whether the main was related to that whole dramatic puppet show

For some reason he believes that there was actually a secret IRL friend despite that being the DEFAULT excuse for matching IP addresses and the 2nd alt being PROVEN to be lying about losing their electronics, something that their main BACKED UP REPEATEDLY c’mon maaaaaan use your head (this is probably because the person who alted is now a moderator of hte site and a friend of theirs and I get it however C’mon)

A friend of mine had this channel of a private Discord server called “#[alt]-isnt-real” and he’d just repeatedly post all the altslips the person made, calling him by his real-life name when they shouldn’t have known that, that kind of thing, stuff they always excused as “oh my friend told me”.

Now this was very early on when I didn’t actually know the full story of the fake-irl-friend (because I didn’t read the vent page LOL) so I was like “you’re getting kinda mean (which they were, but in hindsight it was justifying) maybe you shouldn’t be doing this” and we got into like. A minor fight about it and I left the friend’s server & everything. And then it turned out they weren’t fucking real
