Theyā€™re both actually. But people started to stop believing in these as vehemently as before.

It was especially bad in USA, people believed that in daycares during the 90s thereā€™s satanic cults. And in the 80s there were preachers that were really really oddly specifically against DnD and Pokemon because the creatures looked satanic (?)

The mythology we have here in Romania is in constant decay that will definetly extinct in like 2-3 decades, however.

We had a thing here that you could visit witches and theyā€™d tell you your future through tarot (even magic orbs). However they might also cause you bad omen or actually predetermine a bad future for you if they donā€™t like you.

Witches, especially these that are green-eyed can intensely stare at you, causing you an evil eye, where you feel very sick and faint.
