I think I remember seeing a video essay talking about a TV show called Kid Nation (I might be confusing the title with an even worse american show) somewhere in Britain, where they live in a big house with a garden.
The children were being really mean to each other and the producers did nothing because they liked the drama.

that was the weather and something else, the first is pretty unreliable given that we could have similar weather in completely different locations just by coincidence, and the second thing is referring to a product from my area which doesnā€™t necessarily mean she is from here since you can get it elsewhere lol

but since i live in the south (well more south than north. the midlands specifically) and go to university in the north thereā€™s a good chance at least one of those isnā€™t too far lol

Just straight gambling isnā€™t fun for me because I expect to lose. Thereā€™s no interest in it. And the randomness means I can blame things on bad luck and therefore cope better with the losses. I donā€™t want to cope better with the losses that makes it less interesting

Iā€™m generally detached from material reward or suffering Iā€™m used to going ā€œwell I did my best it is what it isā€. In mafia I stake my perception of myself as smart and skilled. More valuable and more interesting to me

In general I also think Iā€™m so conservative with my spending that more money doesnā€™t register to me as more material benefit, because I always spend as little as possible and so having more or less money isnā€™t meaningful to me until you get really extreme
