my allegiance to the mariners is an obligation of extreme honour and has nothing to do with whether or not it makes sense for me to be an Ms fan or if itās a good idea. iāve just gotta do it. iāve gotta watch these guys, day in and day out, make a mockery of the sport of baseball

tbf the pirates did have a brief stint of success in the early 90s. if you watched them then you mightāve been fooled into thinking they were a fun team to root for and that they had a bright future. then 20 straight years of losing records set in
the pirates then pulled the exact same shit in 2013-15. then they traded for chris archer
in terms of baseball fandom misery tiers the mets are honestly fairly low in magnitude of suffering, itās just everyone else makes fun of them for it because every fuckup the mets have made is entirely their fault and was entirely preventable
