The alternative - that you had been feeling better about your fate, but now youâre fearful again - doesnât really make sense: given that you had been reassured simply because you thought you wouldnât be able to remember knowing in advance you were going to be tortured, why would you now be fearful just because you know you wonât have any of your current memories?
Just a quick reminder here: donât forget you should treat the things youâre told here as being cumulative. At each stage, you should indicate whether youâre feeling reassured - i.e., significantly less fearful - in light of everything youâve been told, not just the latest piece of information.
