I think by prom you mean that you have to invite somebody to dance with you, which is totally not the case here, or at least my high school and my BFF’s high school are just born different.

On graduation day,
each person goes to their homeroom teacher class for one last talk and equips their ceremonial robes (the hat too), there’s a small recess inbetween though, in case you want to gift something to your other teachers (which we did :heart_decoration:)
At the end of the meeting, each person (alphabetically) has to stand up and say something motivational. After that, we looked at really really really heart-touching clips of our high school years and even wrote something motivational on a drawing (that is for the homeroom teacher to keep).

After this “one last time”, we need to line up and visit almost every single room of the high school (which I am so glad for because I managed to snap some pics so I can recreate the place) where in the end we line-up in the yard, where all the teachers, the principal and the mayor and co-mayor stay.
The principal, mayor and a religion teacher have to sustain a speech.
Now what I want to highlight here is that, there is a miss prom and mister prom that is voted by non-12th-graders, but that’s it and they also have to sustain some kind of short speech aswell.
Each homeroom teacher then by turn (from A to E), sits behind the ceremonial stand and announces each student to get their diploma (one diploma for good grade and one diploma for graduating).

After it’s done, people usually gather with their parents to snap photos, return their robes to the school and leave.

Yeah, we didn’t really have any of that.

The closest thing to that is sustaining some graduation party on our own and that’s about it. But it’s not even hosted by the school themselves.
