there are other lies but these are the ones off the top of my head that annoy me the most
i dont know if she still holds this view but a few years ago my mom told me she is very proud that our country is one of the few ones that didn’t recognize the istanbul convention, because i expressed mildly trans friendly views
it’s a human’s right treaty opposing domestic violence and violence against women. it has mildly trans friendly language - it defines gender as both a biological concept and a social construct concept
people (older ones) here are terrified of a “recognition of the third gender” (as they call it) and find it against european views. even our socialist party is firmly opposed to it

funnily the only party that wanted to recognize this treaty is the most corrupt one, the one filled with actual members of the Mafia. they did so because they’re always pro-europe and pro-NATO. they are that way, because their opposition is pro-russia. one of our pro-russian parties want us to be a completely neutral country with no alliances and connections. the only fully neutral country currently that way is north korea afaik, but their supporters don’t view it that way. they think we are at a demographic and cultural war, pressured from both russia and the West’s rotten gender ideology, in the middle of their front. so when they want to remain neutral they imagine themselves as Switzerland in WW2
