- Mason didn’t call for backup before arriving at the school. This both let Harriet and Emma illegally enter a dangerous place, but didnt give them an escape route incase the murderer was there
- He didn’t bother trying to stick with civilians, and when Emma ran off, he completely ditched Harriet to go to the right hallway
- He should’ve never gotten hurt by the murderer. Both Emma and Harriet, the former of whom he was absolutely not toying with, escaped several ambushes from him
- He has to rely on one and a half (or just 1 in the canon route) 16 year old girls to save his life, who have zero combat training.
- If Emma takes his advice, it leads to both Mason and Harriet dying to the murderer and her being swallowed by guilt. The only way to get the good ending is to ignore him entirely
